Barbara Coenson, Attorney At Law - Barbara’s passion to help others led her to the practice of law and to helping clients with a variety of legal issues in the areas of Estate Planning, Elder and Special Needs Law, and Business Law. She holds a Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Florida Levin College of Law.
As an estate planning and elder law attorney, Barbara provides a full line of services that includes wills, trusts, durable powers of attorney, living wills, health care surrogate designations, probate, trust administration, and more. She also helps families with planning, preparing, and applying for Medicaid to pay for nursing home care. Barbara is past Chair of the Elder Law Committee of the Orange County Bar Association. Barbara also helps families with special needs children plan for their children’s future.
Barbara has extensive experience in the corporate world. She served as Vice President of two multi-million dollar corporations. She holds a Master of Science Degree, summa cum laude, in management, from Florida Institute of Technology. Her business services include business start-up and formation, contracts, transactions, buy-sell and other agreements.
Theresa Barton - For nearly 20 years, Theresa Barton has been an active member of the Central Florida community, serving as a leading Professional Guardian and Private Care Manager. Her firm, Guardian Care Management & Benefits Services, Inc. provides services to a wide and diverse range of clients including incapacitated adults, elderly and/or disabled individuals, and family members caring for elderly or disabled loved ones. Aside from her business, Theresa strives to give back to the community. She does this by serving as an advisor to non-profit organizations, and has held positions with multiple charities focused on the elderly and disabled population. She often presents at conferences, like the National Guardianship Association conference, and speaks at training sessions, which often involve Adult Protective agencies or local support groups for families. She is involved in state level legislative initiatives, and consults and assists with local law enforcement as requested. It is Theresa’s compassion, education, and experience which have made her a sought after Professional Guardian, and a source of knowledge throughout the community and state.
Cyndi Meyers - Cyndi has over 15 years of experience in mortgage consulting and management. She is a State Director of the Florida Association of Mortgage Brokers, a member of National Association of Professional Mortgage Women and Mortgage Banking Association. Cyndi continually spends her time developing her knowledge of the reverse mortgage industry through training, product development, and working with senior citizens through many different organizations within Central Florida.
